The Nationwide Limited Warranty Program provides participating Jiffy Lube Brakes & Services℠ customers with a written, limited nationwide parts and labor warranty. Terms vary depending on the services purchased. A minimum warranty on eligible repairs and services provides coverage for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Beginning April 1st, any consumer who purchases a Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic motor oil change at participating Jiffy Lube service centers during the promotional period will qualify for one (1) $50 Hotel eGift Card. The hotel eGift card can be used towards stays at over 400,000. participating hotels including Hilton, Marriot, Sheraton.

What Does My Basic Warranty Cover?
A basic warranty contract is an agreement between a new vehicle owner and the manufacturer. The agreement specifies the repair responsibilities of the manufacturer as well as terms and conditions that could break the warranty. Most new car warranties cover the vehicle for at least the first three years after the purchase date or the first 36,000 miles driven, whichever comes first.
So what does a new vehicle warranty cover? Most of the time, it focuses on material and/or workmanship defects on everything from the front bumper to the back bumper (hence the popular 'bumper-to-bumper warranty' phrase). It covers malfunctioning components such as:
- Air conditioning
- Audio systems
- Vehicle sensors
- Major electrical systems
It does not cover any damage stemming from an accident or vehicle misuse (more on this below). In addition, it does not cover parts subject to wear, such as:

Because a basic warranty does not cover the components subject to wear and tear, vehicle maintenance is a must. Do Drivetrain Warranties Cover Maintenance?
No. They cover defects in the engine, transmission, and many other moving parts that connect to the wheels. They do not include maintenance tasks. Therefore, the owner is responsible for drivetrain services such as replacing the differential and transfer case fluids according to the manufacturer's recommended schedule.
What Can Void My Warranty?
Some of the most common ways a warranty can be voided include: Jitsi apple.
- Misuse such as racing or off-roading
- Environmental damage from a fire, flood, earthquake, or other natural disaster
- An altered odometer
- Use of improper fluids
- Failure to properly maintain the vehicle
Preventive Vehicle Maintenance and Your Warranty
Let's dispel a popular myth: you do not need to have your vehicle serviced by the dealership in order to preserve your warranty. It is illegal for manufacturers and dealerships to claim a warranty void or refuse coverage because someone else – an independent mechanic, retail chain vehicle maintenance provider such as your local Jiffy Lube®, or even a do-it-yourselfer – has performed maintenance.
In fact, keeping up your maintenance is an important part of keeping your warranty intact. As the Federal Trade Commission says: 'If you ever have a warranty claim and it appears that you did not maintain your vehicle, your claim could be denied.'
Tip: Keep track of all your service records so you can prove your maintenance track record as part of any potential warranty claim.
